Wet Vs. Dry (Direct Port)

i hit 186whp on my dyno with the venom
my dyno was funny,... either because i was leaning out or because of certain bugs in the system *first hyundai kit*
im hoping clubSI or the local nissan club have another dyno day,... i want to see what this fvcker puts out now that its in perfect condition
randy drives a daewoo though

ok here we go, I am going to correct a few things I said before on how NX achieves their HP rating to the wheels.
first the jettings for the nitrous and fuel are based on vehicle type, engine size and fuel pressure. a 75HP jetting will use a 41 n2o and a 22 fuel jet on a 2.0L with 50psi fuel pressure.
the 41 nitrous jet will put you at like say close to 190HP at the crank just out of the reach of the injectors.
Now in order to make up for the fact we have maxed out the injectors, we have to either one up the fuel pressure (NX do not do this) or we up the fuel jet size.
since we up the fuel jet size now we got to look at the max HP the sotck fuel pump will put out.
in order to accomplish the 75HP to the wheels we have to make about 94HP to the crank. [94-20%(drive train loss)]
thats about a total of 244HP to the crank. Just out of the reach of the fuel pump.
So without a bigger fuel pump the 75HP NX kit will not work.
The 50HP jettings will though. They may max out the injectors but the added fuel is made up through the extra fuel in the fuel jet.
And they do dyno the vehicles and flow test their jettings which is one of the reasons why the NX kits are slightly more expensive than a ZEX kit.
Even with the 50HP jettings The NX kit will make more HP to the wheels than a 60 shot ZEX kit. So it is worth the little extra money you spend out it.
Now NX will be coming out with an a/f ratio cut off here soon. And already have a fuel pressure low cutoff.
I personally think the Venom kits are a little more safe than the NX kits but look at how much more expensive they are. Right behind them, I think the NX kits are safer for the simple fact they are wet systems. TNT is probably a closer 3rd. They are a wet system just like the NX but I dont trust their fuel nozzles engough to prevent nitrous back fires. And NOS has got to be on the bottom of my list. I dont know anything about the Nitrous Works kits. I think they are also wet kits though.
Even Red has confirmed the NX nozzles are good nozzles. I don't know if he knows why though. Probably does though. Its the simple fact that they attomize the fuel so well as to minimize the chance of nitrous backfires. Also NX does not require or want ignition retarded in any application no matter how much you are spraying. This is due to the fact of how good the fuel nozzles are. You talk to anybody who runs full NX kits and they also say do not retard ignition. There is a c5vette website out there that has NX tuning suggestions I will try to dig that website up to post here if someone wants to see that. Think of it as a third party opinion of the NX kits. If you dont trust what NX or one of their dealers say because you think they are *Brand Loyal*
I hope this clears up some of the things I have said earlier and some of the confusion on how the NX kit achieve their RWHP numbers. yes I said RWHP. And they guarrenty 98% RWHP gain with these kits.

Reads suspiciously like NX propganda rather than an actual article by a C5-corvette.com member.
Even if this IS someone of Corvette.com that wrote it, notice towards the bottom with the 300+HP comments regarding uber-octane gasoline. 300+HP shot on a Corvette engine = a 100% power increase...
Guess what? Either you use race gas, or you back off your timing when doing a 100%+ increase on engine power with nitrous. Hmm, this seems to agree with my little 150-shot needing some timing removed doesn't it?

yo jwas, what shot were u running? I got Eclipse GST/GSX fuel pump and wanna run 65~75 dry shot.
thanks
if you wanna stay at a 75yo jwas, what shot were u running? I got Eclipse GST/GSX fuel pump and wanna run 65~75 dry shot.
thanks
get a used ZEX kit man
youll save money
if you want something perty *or you might get a lot of other NA mods that might put you at our fuel limits* ,... get the venom
but if you just have an intake and a 75,... used nos or zex kits are perfect
