Nos Vs Turbo???

about lag...my old car was a 1G TSIAWD Talon. when i blew the engine, i was running nearly 2. bar boost. no lag, i didnt have nitrous and that turbo was stock-unclipped and un ported. lag is enevitable but turbo is definetly the way to go. a trubo aslo puts less stress on your engine. my elantra already went through 1 engine due to over-revving. after 3 months it was in the shop. if you want the advice, get a turbo and do some other stuff, get 4-2-1(my bad) headers that will help in low end range, and do some weight reduction, starting with that 60Lb tire in your trunk. weight is over-looked and it has been calculated that every 100# lighter, it shaves a tenth of a sec on the 1320. geta short shifter so you save more shift time. my all motor elantra has run against cars with nos and i only lost once.
just my 2 cents

You should update your sig NKING with new mods and make sure its under 10 lines please
Please list all your new mods, before people call the BS flag on you for saying you can whip and SI with nitrous with just an exhaust and intake

not to shoot the last post down... give turbotechnics a call and ask about what they can do. a stock header or a aftermarket header cant support the weight of a turbo..true but nearly any of the larger turbo rebuilders and mfg's can make a system for what you need. if you want me to call it a exhaust manifold instead of a header fine. but then were getting into semantics.

hate to bust your guys bubbles, but you can't run headers on a turbo. Well just for the fact that the turbo IS the headers/exhaust manifold. All manifolds are 4-1 as far as i know, but 4-1 vs 4-2-1 turbo manifolds would be pointless anyway since your not worried about how the exhaust gas flows.
And i'm pretty sure that any car fully N/A running against a stock car with NOS will loose unless they have the NOS setup badly installed/low spray. I've got a fully N/A engine right now putting down 140-150ish hp to the wheels (monday is dyno day) and you take any stock tibby (120whp) and thow a 75shot of NOS on it and your going to smoke me. If they were running a 55shot then it'll be a close call b/c you'll probably only get 20-30whp from a 55shot.

another thing is different turbos will put out different omounts of power at the same PSI. a garret T3 may put out 230 horse at 10 PSI, but a IHI RHB5 will only put out 210 horse at 10 PSI. but the IHI will roast the T3 off the line cause its smaller and has no noticable turbo lag.
