While we're on the topic, if you get into a bad accident and you have N02, can the tank explode if it gets squished in the accident?

that's old news he wasn't safe with the bottle pressure or something, i forget the story but it was his fault it exploded.
no nitrous won't explode in an accident. as long as you take proper precautions you will have no problems with it.

Some bottle heaters dont have a safety switch... i know the ZEX and some NOS ones do
So at a certain temperature, it automatically shuts off
Obviously this guy didnt have one

Should always have back up switches/solinoids. First thing is safety.
stickshift, to answer your question, Yes. Anything under pressure will explode if damaged or in this case, over pressurized.
