Default N2O and YEs this is beaten like a dead horse.

OK V6 Tib with auto Trannie.
Opinions will a 75 shot work or should I go 55.

Since the car is non returnless It will have to be a wet system.

The reason. Local import is in August and I know Im gonna lose I just want the defeat to be a little less humiliating. Ya know. I wont have time to get headers/head work done.
Hope fully will have a cat back and Maby bored IM/BTB.

What im thinking (tell me if Im wrong) the v6 can take 240 - 250 at the wheels before the crank breaks
Well in an auto thats prolly about 210 - 220 (due to tranny loss)catback and intake work (not counting head work) should give me say 10 - 15 at the wheels. Since im at about 140 right now (going by the CAI showdown and The mine is built is just like theres but not as pretty)
that would bring me to (high estimate) 155 at the wheels
Figure tranny loss again for the N2O at 75 (25 percent) 62+ 155 = 217
Thats REAL CLOSE so maby a 65 shot and that brings me to a total of 52(N2O + loss at tranny)+ 155 = 207.
Its close but what do you think.

Did I miss anything?

Also Its the the day I got married, so to the married guys, whats the chance the the wife will go along with this.

Opinions, comments? and remember No flame forum
MAHAHAHA

You know I'm interested if you're successful - better your motor then mine.

And on the wife front - Yeah, good luck. You blow up your 3 month old car - you won't be married for long.

you should be fine with a 75 shot

things to worry about though

Fuel pump,... and injectors

but if your going with a wet kit, *depending on which kit* you should be fine

If anything breaks,... act like an idiot and take it back

Careful with that shiftronic on juice. The regular A/T tranny is a complicated monster in itself. The shiftronic is an entirely different monster.

Seems like you have a plan but I wouldn't go the N20 route. Especially on such a new can. Stay on the side of safety and keep it at a 55 shot.

The last thing you want is a blown engine and pissy wife.

We have used 75 shot on the V6 without problems.

Some of the V6's now have been tested to the breaking point.... the first thing to go is the sleeves and the pistons.

Cheuk- Is there a kit available for the V6?

Breaking Point??? Do go on. tongue.gif
Was that a auto or stick? rolleyes.gif
I don't know if Ill get it in by then.
Ill have at least the cat back and the IM/BTB done. But if I can get the casH who knows

My concern is the torque converter blowing out. I would not boost at launch but prolly comming out of 2nd gear (around 40)

Also On the wife front Im good to go. Just no dying in a horrible fire driven death.

We use a ZEX dry kit and it has been used predominately on the V6 Sonatas. The power crazy tibbys start off with the Beta and turbocharge.

People have been playing with turbocharging the V6 but like I said... Pistons crack and I have heard that the piston sleeves dislodge themselves... somewhere around the 200+ wheel hp mark.
