I'm about half-way through the process of porting & polishing my IM.
The Dremel-Tool slipped a couple of times and hit the IM where it attaches to the head.
Will this cause a vacuum leak when its installed?
I will also be installing an Outlaw engineering phelonic spacer when I put the manifold on, idk if that would make a difference.

What I would do is take something and try to smooth that out. Maybe a die grinder and cookie at a low speed.
By cookie I mean like a scuff pad, not sand paper. I dont think you should have an issue though.

^^ agreed
probably less than .005". next time, get something padded with a sticky side like the soft side of velcro or self adhesive pads, apply, then use a exacto knife to cut out the ports to avoid the occasional slipup.

Vinyl electrical tape around the ports. Lots of it. It will get chewed up and make the tool skip out farther than just hitting the metal, but it's cheap and protects with only a layer or two.

Thanks for the tips guys!
Phewww, I was worried there for a bit, but I did buy some gasket sealant just to be sure.
I'm finishing up the manifold as we speak, and it'll be going on tomorrow morning along with Dennis's TB and phelonic spacers (I'm getting it put on at a dealership).

^lack of room sucks space balls, especially when you have man hands. i would still go with the gasket maker. then make sure the copper gasket is there with that. unfortunately i can no longer send you some material because i will be out of town, but it seems like you know what you're doing.
