I'm glad this came up, I was going to start a new thread to ask about what aftermarket MSD's are available for our cars? Where to get? is eBay the place of choice?

I have seen MSD's on friends tuner cars and it made a world of a difference. Simple, more spark = better combustion.

I thought they usually range from 100-150 dollars (400 seems too much).

I didn't know there was different kinds. Anyone care to enlighten me?
I'm interested in one that will result in more spark or a better/larger spark.

And I would like to know how to install? Is it easy?

.........sorry to hi-jack, but I am very curious about MSD.

Ok... the MSD has to be the MSD DIS2 part #6211 for Turbo charge MSD DIS2 PLUS part #6212 because its programammble

http://www.msdignition.com/ignition_26_6212.htm

Now... I was searching on the MSD site an it's looks like they are not making the #6211 anymore..... somebody else can confirm this....

I don't recommend buying the MSD until you have a lot more modifications because the price don't worthed..... unless you can get it very very cheap..... maybe Ebay... I get mines from them...

THe MSD helps in the combustion but only if you get better wires and spark plugs...

they are other products that do the same as MSD.... I think that Kspec has one too

If you want to see the prices of MSD check this out...

http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?
Ntt=msd+dis&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&searchinresult s=false&N=0&target=egnsearch.asp

I pay for the installation.... as I remember it was $75.00 because I put the MSD under the driver seat.... I just want to keep it clean.... but All of the MSD installation that I saw was on the engine bay.... really don't know why.....

for the 6A or 6AL you have to buy 2 of them..... it's risky an a high probability of something goes wrong....

The blaster coil... I really don't know.... Our Tibs can't use that....
