I just took my Throttle Body off for the first time tonight. I planned on painting it since I'm non really going to be driving my tib this winter, just working on it. When I took out the throttle body I saw this odd plug I've never seen before. It is all taped up to a wire loom as if it wasn't even used from the factory. It is an orange plug with two pins. I'm assuming it may have to do with ABS, as my car came with every option but ABS I believe. That and is is pretty close to the master cylinder, a few inches away. Anyone know what this plug is for?

I've got that same plug on my tib. It seems that all cars have extra plugs.

Does anyone have ABS?

Maybe for a map sensor. If they didnt have a different harness for the Tibs overseas.

Yah, its gotta be either for map or ABS, and we should be able to figure out either because we have members who have abs and we certainly have members with map RD's.

I assumed it could have something to do with the transmission until i noticed selina didnt have it connected either when hers came auto (now stick)

I changed the title, maybe that'll help

the MAP based cars have a different harness, the ECU has different # of pins.

plus everything is back to front, driver being on the other side, e.g the brake booster is smaller and stuffed in behind the plenum.

a shop manual should show it if its stock, have a look in the CL section (connector locations)
