Default Re: More Exhaust Help

Maybe a motor and or tranny mount[s] is/are worn-out, allowing the transfer of vibration through the steering column

my 2001 tib auto does the same thing in drive, not in neutral so I think it has something to do about the transmission

Click the link above to get a schematic of where each respective mount is located.

Note: There is a difference in mounts auto/manual.

Yea, I had a similar if not the same problem on my 2001 Tib...when i first got it and came home, it was shakin the car whenever i turned it on and idled...wen i revved it up it kinda dulled down, sound similar? It wound up being a misfiring cylinder, and it needed new spark plugs and wires...so i dunno how similar your case is, but hopefully this could help... smile.gif

could very well be a sign of a slight misfire.. I would treat the car to new plugs and wires before I spent the money for mounts... might want to consider a new airfilter too

Your car is obviously idling too high also, should be at 850 to 900 RPM.
