Default Vibration in Drive.

I have a 97 tiburon fx that is an automatic, whenever I am stopped at a light and leave the car in drive it, the steering wheel and everything around it shakes. But if I pop it in neutral that isn't any shakes? Anyone else havin this prob or know what the deal with it is?

I guess thats normal for automatics the same as having it in neutral for manuals is... I think...

With manuals its just the motor vibrating and putting stress on the motor mounts which move the vibrations through the frame of the car.

My mom's pontiac does that, so I am fairly certain it is normal. She does need new motormounts though

Nice one... god dang this one is old LOL. Guess its better to type in the old post then make a new one... Nothing really to do about it, its just how the car is constructed.

Just use the 2001 Tiburon motor mounts, they're stiffer.

Better yet, buy some urethane motormounts via KSPEC/SR.

Well they upgraded the mounts for the 2001 Tiburon, which kind of suggests a problem for the 97-00 models...
