After performing my first cycle of Auto-RX, the car feels like a different beast.

Obviously, the previous owners must have sludged the insides to hell, but now the car feels invigorating to say the least. It revs freely up to around 5000 rpms and then it feels as if I have hit a block. Almost a jerk in the power delivery.

I have a clogged Cat in the engine bay and I'm sure that manifold has something to do with it. Just wondering if anyone else has seen/ felt this. It almost seems like a limiter is cutting in at that engine speed.

My car is a 98 5 speed with 107K on it.

I would keep running it for a while. If the problem persists, you might wanna diss the manifold ASAP.tongue.gif

Besides the revving trouble, does the car pull harder? I was considering the AutoRx.

It pulls CRAZY harder.

I didn't feel this much of a difference even with the AEM CAI. Sound crazy? Sure. But it's true.

Definately worth it on an older engine.

Lol maybe it's a psychological thing mang.

It pulls so much harder now than it did, so maybe all you're experiencing is that drop in power around 5-6K RPMs?

No. There's nothing psychological about a jerk the car emits. Literally feels like something has kicked in. I just don't know what.

I won't experiment more till my buddy Patrick aka xxxmonoxidechild helps me find and switch to better fan,ac, timing belts.

If yopu have a clogged cat, why don't you change it right away? I mean, there are high flow cats from $70 and lower right? So, what's keeping you from changing it? I tell you, I felt my engine breathe and pull A LOT better when I installed the headers, so, if with the headers it pulls harder because of better engine breathing, don't you think a clogged cat can do the opossite effect in the same magnitude?
