Tib owners over the age of 40
I have never met or seen anyone with a tib, over the age of 40. Actually the oldest I think I have ever seen was a 38 year old who drove a GK. Seems like tiburons are more for the younger crowds than they are older. People over 40 who own a Hyundai usually go for the Sonatas or Elantras, as far as I can tell.

Nope. I've seen several 40+ owners driving them. Hell, when I got my windows tinted on the Genesis, the guy who did the work told me he tinted a Lime Rock Green Genesis the week before for a 70 yr old retired guy.

I'm 43 and drive a sweet, black '06 GT Ltd. w/ 35k miles. I agree a Tib is generally for the younger crowd
but I love mine. So...the kids are sayin 'look at that old fart in the Tib' ? Doesn't hurt my feeling.

^that's crazy. i know that Wayne Bell was like around 45 or 50 when he initiated the Hyundai World Rally Team in 1997 that lead to the 1999 McLaren-designed F2 and Accent WRC program.
in the U.S. they didn't really sell because of bad reputation and high insurance, even though they were good cars. with the rise of Fast and Furious and the cruddy New Tiburons, they became mobiles for lame immature asscreases. it shows that marketing is totally different in countries, which is why they renamed it "Coupe" for every other country.
