I've been having an issue with the Accent that is driving me crazy. If the car sits for 12+ hours, it will start fine. After the engine is stopped and started over a period of thirty minutes or so, the car will have the symptoms of a bad battery. The battery is only a year and few months old. I've had both the battery and the alternator checked, and both passed the tests performed on them. I'm leaning towards the battery still, but did not know if a bad ground could cause the issues at hand. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean

Sounds like the started to me. if you have had both the battery adn alt checked. the heat from the car running is causing the metal in the plunger section of the starter to expand and jam not allowing electrical contact.

for sure, you could try the old school bang on the starter with a hammer trick. 60% of the time, it works all the time.
with the time thing it just about has to be a heat issue. The above remedy mainly worked when a tooth on the starter was missing or the solenoid was screwed.
