Yep, pretty easy, and not terribly uncommon. Hills are the best, just drop the clutch and e-brake, get a little momentum and pop out the clutch. Be sure to have the key in the 'on' position... Car will jerk a bit, but if you have enough momentum it should start right up.

Yeah - just to add to the above...

Third gear is best, and you got to be rolling at least at 10-15 mph. Have the clutch engaged, ignition on and the brake off. When you hit 10-15 mph, pop the clutch and the engine should start. Use the same principal when tow starting... Its not recommended if you have a catalytic converter equipped car, though. The rush of unburned fuel into the cat is reputed to shorten the operational life of the cat unit...

Just so's you know... biggthumpup.gif

Also you still need a very small amount of power. Ive had some that would not start without a jump because it was to dead and there wasnt enough juice for the pump to start or sensors to read at all.

^ But that small amount of power should be quenched by the alternator once the engine is rotating when you drop the clutch.

Don't do 1st gear. Try 2nd or even 3rd. Just remember to push the clutch back in after it starts so you don't shoot ahead.
