BTW - I've been driving since about 11 or 12. I worked on a farm growing up so I was expected to drive farm machinery and cars/trucks just to help out around the farm. The look on my dads face when I bought/drove my first car home at 14 was priceless, he was mowing the lawn when I drove up.

Yeah, the EG chassis is a featherweight to begin with. There is some weight that can be cut from a tib, but even the most extreme methods will yield 300lbs at best. That's including removal of all stock safety devices, CF single seat (assuming you pockets are as deep as your passion), full wire tuck, alum dash, aftermarket everything suspension wise and replacement of just about every body panel with CF. The EG on the other hand was designed for the purpose of being light and had weight added in the form of sound deadening, posh interior add on and exterior beautification. Two very VERY different situations. The EGs started life AS a 2000lb nimble economy car, the Tib was a ahower with look good as it's number one focus. On top of that the EG was designed before a lot of the safety regulations were what they were around the turn of the century. If it had brakes and seat belts you pretty much had a green light. Before long the international standard of "maybe I don't want to die in this thing" introduced crumple zones, beefed up bumpers, airbags and other safe-to-go-fast goodies.

I know this, but i said 220hp when i would said 180hp. It's about to have the powrful N/A motor with the lightweight body, keeping it cheap
