i just bought a Huatai HT-800a/b security system and im getting it installed on saturday and i was wondering if anyone could help me get some info on this alarm system for the electrician thats installing it.. Thanks.

Have it installed at a shop by someone who knows what they're doing. Don't hire an electrician to do a technician's job. Electricians work inside walls, inside buildings. Usually when someone says "an electrician" it usually means their buddy who said they know what they're doing.

If you are replacing an older alarm system, it might be very easy to swap them..

oh sorry what i ment by an "electrician" was a friend of mine who works at the Hyundai Shop who is a technician as you say. my bad haha.
And no im not replacing an old alarm but since its not a very common brand of security system he just wants as much info on it as he can other than the manual and install instructions that came with it.

I recently swapped my old nonworking Audiovox alarm with a HT-400C (from ebay) and it was very easy. The wiring diagram is all you need, and it's very clear. The only thing was that it had a wire which had to be connected to the brake circuit. The alarm needed this input (brake pedal depressed) only when programming new remotes, and I think for auto locking, so I just left it unconnected. Works fine (although doors don't auto-lock when driving - which I don't really care).
