Would it hurt anything if I took off the screen that looks like the the image in the link below? It comes at the end of the duct that comes after the air box. It comes right before some sensor I think. I already did the resonator removal and I want to increase air flow even more.

DO NOT REMOVE THE SCREEN FROM YOUR MAF!!!
This WILL NOT increase your air flow, but will F up your readings that your MAF is getting, and YOU WILL DECREASE your performance,...

That is there to smooth out the turbulant flow of air before it reaches the sensor. If you remove it, you will not only wind up with a poorly running car, but you will need to replace the entire sensor as you cannot buy just that mesh.
As for your second question, adding more to it will do nothing but decrease airflow. Leave it as it is and be happy.

Listen to the guys,
When you add a CAI, it's just a "bolt on" No modification to the MAF sensor needed.
AND before you ask about that mod on Ebay to trick your MAF sensor, lemme stop you. smile.gif If you want to pay for a $10 resistor, I've got one for $5 for you. wink1.gif

Often times learning things the hard way is the only way to learn. Somebody had to do it first and find out. Now it is up to everyone else to learn from that person. To be the first to do something and screw it up is a learning experience, To be the second in line is just idiocy.

I keep trying to explain this to the new Elantra guy we have in Crooked H SW. He says, "My milage has gone to shit but I got 5 HP man!".
I asked him for the dyno.
