SAFC II ?
#1
I checked some of the old posts about this but nothing really covers my ?. This may be a stupid question, but I was just wondering if there would be any advantage to having an SAFC II on a non turbo car? Or is it something that will only work on a turbo setup?

Yes, there's an advantage.
You can gain some good power back using it, considering we run so rich stock.

From what I researched you can get one on Ebay for somewhere between $250-$300. Now that cost plus the dyno tuning needed, do you think the gains would be worth that kind of money? Does anyone have one installed on their Tib that is only NA? What kind of gains are we theoreticly talking about? I'm just curious becasue I found a really great performance shop very close to my house that has a dyno and does a lot of tuning work.

Dyno tuning is good, but you can tune it yourself too.
Ehhh, get a used one for about $200, you'll see them.

get a wideband o2 sensor and you can SAFELY tune it every time you change something. dyno tuning is more accurate though, because it takes into account what power you're making, and where, and will adjust to that.

I wouldn't even know where to begin with tuning something like that.... 02.gif

Would a stock O2 sensor have a problem if I had one and had it dyno tuned? The mods I currently have are : AEM CAI, BBTB, 4-1 Headers, High Flow Cat, MBRP Cat back exhaust, and plugs/wires. I think thats it.... why would I need to get a wideband O2 sensor?

Lots of folks have them hooked up on NA tibs. Cysco had one on his. Ask him.
No one here that I know of, currently, has one installed here.
Gains? Minimal, but even across the band. Fuel Economy will go way up too.
