Guess who made that software back then... wink1.gif

I should still have the source somewhere; it's been a while since I've played with it. It DID have settings for both the SAFC and SAFC2, but the only difference was with the number of tune points.

I'll recompile it and host it somewhere tonight.

It won't do MUCH good to use the software, but you'll have a much better understanding of what's happening to the correction for certain settings; that's basically why I made the software in the first place, to help understand what's going on.

The stock ECU can correct fuel from -25% to + 25% by itself to achieve the programmed A/F, so it's kinda hard to do permanent dommage by tuning the SAFC... of course, if on your first try you put -50% all accross and you go for a ride with the pedal to the metal right away, you DESERVE to break your engine wink1.gif

This -25% to +25% correction is also the reason why the ECU tends to "learn" over the SAFC over time, in closed loop at least. Still have to do more tests in open loop. Anybody selling free time for cheap? wink1.gif

Default Code for Stock Dual DIN?

Here's my original release post, since I'm lazy and don't want to type it all again wink1.gif

----

Hi,

I just finished a little piece of software which should be useful to people using an S-AFC (1st or 2nd gen). The software plot the 3D correction map of the S-AFC, which can help you tune your car by visually examining your settings. It gives you the correction % related to a certain RPM and Throttle. I personally think that this software should be very useful for tuning, if not necessary smile.gif But then again, I may be biased hehe...

The usefulness of this tool comes from the fact that the S-AFC is not *exactly* linear in it's correction % calculation; if the current throttle is BETWEEN the low and high throttle point, the correction % is a result of "how far" the current throttle is between the low and high throttle. Otherwise, when the throttle is lower or higher than the low or high throttle points, it just directly uses the related value in one of the 2 correction tables.

So, say your Low Throttle Point is 20% and your High Throttle Point is 80%. You are currently at 30% throttle. The value of the Low Throttle Table will have more "weight" than the one from the High Throttle Table, but both will still be used to calculate the correct correction %.

If you have the same Throttle Points but you are currently at 10% throttle, then the value will be directly taken in the Low Throttle Table. Same thing when your throttle is higher than 80%.

Since the whole thing is pretty hard to visualize and that one needs a perfect map to tune a car perfectly, I conceived this little software. Here's a screenshot:

You can zoom, move, change perspective, save the graph as an image.

You can also save your settings and open them later.

You'll need the Microsoft .NET Framework to use this software (sorry guys, I was lazy... wink1.gif ). You should already have it if you keep your computer updated through Windows Update.

Finally, here's the software:

S-AFC Correction map plotter (~400k)

Happy tuning!

---

You'll probably get a nag screen after a couple of days telling that the map library (TeeChart.dll) evaluation period is over; just click OK, and it shouldn't cause the software to stop working.

Default Re: 12psi Run Videos

From what I've found (I just bought one today) some of the base settings are:

Sensor Type: Hotwire
In: 01 Out: 01
TPS: Arrow pointing up and right

Besides that though we really need someone who is N/A to post up exactly what their settings are. Not that they would be perfect for all of our cars but atleast this way we have a base to run off of. Any takers?
