all I can tell you without killing you is that it's not easy. the only thing that has working is AWD tranny and 4g63t from an evo 3, and thats expensive enough. doing RWD with a beta in the USA would be more expensive.

But I have to admit that the way the tib sits on the road, it would look completely bad ass doing a burn out.

Ham has no comment... accept that I would like to see you fit a 5.0 in our engine bay... and like to see a Miata rear end hold up to the torque a 5.0 puts out.

Just won't work dude.

This is a turbocharged 5.0, but it'll give you an idea of the size your dealing with.

Goodluck and I hope you have enough $$$ to tackle this job. Why not just buy a 5.0 if you want a muscle car? pokey.gif salute.gif

I dont think the 5.0 would fit youd be better using the evo and getting AWD, some people have done it.

People have put LS1's into miatas! Why bother with a 5.0?...

Ok sorry I was kind of stuck in a trance looking at your Sig and Avatar pics...But know that were back on topic....I dont think that the 5.0 and miata rear end would work AT ALL...If so more power to you but one thing I have seen done is a Tibby with a motor in the front and one in the rear each driving its own tranny making it AWD with about 600 ponies...REAL nice.

Why a miata rear end? IF youre going to do all that custom work why not get something stronger and just make a custom drive shaft or w/e theres a million possibilties when youre doing somethin custom...

man i say a 283 would be better (or a 289 if your a ford fan owned.gif ) lighter and a bit smaller

i can say it will take alot of reinforcing of the frame ALOT so i hope your good with a welder if not dont even
think of this idea cuz it will cost alot of money to pay someone to do

if you can fit a miata rear you can fit a 9inch rear...
