Ok heres the deal, im installing my SAFC II this weekend, pretty simple i may add. but i cant find one ECU wire. What wire in our ECU harness would be the RPM monitor, i have no clue. i have our ECU diagrams and have a few ideas of what it may be but no definite answer. thank you for your help!

Yeah, you can tap that signal in a few places, I prefer the screw in on the back of the cluster that says Tach SIG.

Pin 47 on the ecu connector (white wire) is the Engine Speed Output (signal from the ECU to the tachometer). The engine input for this is the crank position sensor which is pin 16, or a yellow wire.

LYMI for megasquirt to run your tachometer you have to make the ms-II extra tacho circuit. I'm pretty sure I have that in my unfinished DIY. Also for the crank signal you need to use both pin 16 and pin 43 if you're going full standalone, otherwise just pin 16 if you're using it as a piggyback.

You can run megasquirt from pin 47 for fuel only, no spark.
