a couple months ago i was driving home from my girlfriends driving normally, not hard or anything, and all the sudden had a misfire. i had the cel scanned and there were multiple misfires. i replaced my coil pack and it solved the misfires, but now it has terrible acceleration and will not rev much past 5k. no cel anymore, and i replaced plugs but other than that i dont know what would cause it.
any and all help would be appreciated smile.gif

I had wires go out on mine, change them and you def will notice a diffrence. I had one that was burned because it had arched in the spark plug well somehow but you could tell it was dead.

i dont think i described the revving problem well enough. although i will try both suggestions, the car has terrible power in all rpms, and i have less and less power in the higher rpms, when i can finally barely hit 5k, when there is almost no power at all. there is also a sound that sounds very harsh at about 3.5-4k rpms which is very hard to describe but it sounds like the engine is under a ton of stress.

Hmm. This is sounding similar to my car. What my car did, it was fine in the entire rpm band except for 3-4K. If I was not stepping on the pedal hard, when i reached these rpms in 3rd or 4th gear, my car would become very sluggish and would start like puttering. The rpms would only go up very slowly from that point till I passed about 4K revs. However, if I slammed the pedal, this would dissapear. I have new spark plugs and new wires and a keifco tps. I also used a fluid to clean my injectors and it still isnt fixed. Does this sound similar to your problem?

One thing at a time man, slow down some.
1. Replace your plugs (Done)
2. Test and replace or just replace your Plug Wires (Not Done).
3. Test and replace or just replace your TPS with a Keifco or other non Dae Sung TPS (Not Done).
So on and so forth. It could be a ton of things, but go with the usual suspects first. TPS's are cheap from the junkyard, and not too expensive elsewhere, usually around 50 bucks or so at Autozone/Napa, ect.
