I did an oil change only a month ago, maybe less and my oil is low. I know this because you can hear the engine making a really loud noise when it gets really dirty or low. I added some oil in last night to my car and this morning when i drove it, the noise was gone. So i was wondering if anyone had this same problem or has any ideas as where my oil is going

It's either leaking out somewhere or is being burned in the engine in which case you will see blue smoke coming out the tailpipe. If the engine has high mileage or has not been well maintained it may be burning oil.

I found my 2 oil leaks that lost the most fluid were from...
1. No PCV in my valve cover, leads to a LARGE loss of oil for me.
2. The o Ring around the CPS was bad, let a LOT of oil out.

I had a leak in the valve cover gasket around the bolts in the front. It was just enough that it caused a ticking sound after about 2500 miles. Fixed it when i put in a 1.8L cam.
