Do an internet search on PTFE and OIL and you'll find some suprising info. Mainly that the stuff doesn't work and it clogs the pores in your oil filter, causing the oil to go through the bypass, meaning, it doesn't get filtered.... which causes engine damage.

The "Slick 50" folks touted this stuff and they got slammed with a class action lawsuit in the USA. I would reccomend you stay away from it.

Supposedly it can be beneficial if you only run it once every half a dozen or so oil changes. I had a salesman try to push the Slick50 stuff on me the last time I was buying oil.

Yeah Slick50 is pretty decent but I can understand what Random means about it clogging the hell out of the filter. Any reason in perticular you wanted to use an oil aditive?

I used to use the nulon performance engine treatment with PFTE in it. I dont have any complaints about it.

Thanks for the replies guys, but I was specifically after info on the Greased Lightning range. As it's an American brand I though you might know of it.
