Hey all...obx racing has made a short shifter for the 1997-2001 tiburons!..it claims to reduce shifting by 75%...my question is wether this thing is worth looking into or should i just stick with B&M????

I was a bit intrigued by this one as well. IT seems to be a spot-on match to the B&M from the pics . . . I bought one earlier today, so I'll bite the bullet for y'all and let you know how it goes once I get it.

Ok, I'm going to put an install guide in a different thread, but here's my opinion of this shifter:
It does function as advertised, the throw is shorter. Here's a side by side pic with the stock shifter:
All in all I'm pleased, but I feel that I should point out the following:
1) The *home* (neutral) position of the shifter is not in the center any longer

2) First and third gear will turn out to be a knuckle-bruiser if you have the cupholder out and you're not paying attention:

I don't know if the B&M has the same little peccadillos, but there you have it, IMHO.
