Haven't really had time to tighten the belts, however, I know this is a no-no but wd-40 is working great at the moment lol.

how bad is it driving without the ps pump? i've thought about deleting it on my 2000, but i don't know if i want to for sure yet.

You will get a work out if you
a) have to parallel park or
b) are a girl
Take the belt off for a week. It's really not that bad, you just need to get used to steering when the car is moving. Steering when the car isn't moving is a workout, which is why you get an excuse for wanting power steering (see a) above) if you live in the city. Once you're above a couple MPH, the difference isn't noticeable.
