Wha? That's hard to believe doode. Doubt the buzzing has anything to do with the coating or lack thereof on the header themselves.

make sure to not get a race cat thats when it buzzes, the plain motoria catback sounds good just that I dont use the sliencer kinda defeats the purpose of a free flowing exhaust lmao.gif but i havent used it because i saw the really small opening I think a inch and didnt want to restrict the exhaust

I had a lot of buzz and rattles coming from the heatshield underneath the car. I had some extra dynomat (generic of course) and cut some pieces and put them between the top of the heat shield and the bottom of the car. It didn't get rid of all of the buzz, But I would say at least 80%. It made a HUGE difference! You might give that a shot.

OBX Headers

Magnaflow HighFlow Cat

Summit Racing 28" Thrush Glasspack

Motoria Catback

You should be golden with that setup, that's my plan. I've already got the headers...

OBX=SSA=XS Power, trust me, my packaging for the headers had all three brands on it.

For the money on the header, It's a pretty good value.

Nope, still up there. I threw 1 piece on and drove around for about a week. One day it was hot here (90's) so I took the car out for like 20 min, came back and check it. It was fine. No smelly no melty! so I put a bunch on. its been three weeks, no problems and most of my rattles and buzz have been subdued. smile.gif

Hey, it worked, didn't it!?! LOL lmao.gif , yeah, it is pretty ghetto, but its the only solution I could come up with. All the bolts where tight, no rust or damage to the heat shield, but with the right pitch from the exhaust, the damn thing would rattle and buzz like a banshee! It worked well for me, it could work for many others. Ghetto or not, all the buzz and rattles that I thought where coming out of my tailpipe with silenced once I put the dynomat stuff on the back of the heatshield. I can live with being called ghetto knowing that my exhaust is now rattle and buzz free! nana.gif

tibbytib do u think that ur technique would work with a 2nd gen?
while i dont see why not maybe u know more.

i talked to retailer buddies of mine and they said that the OBX headers
dont give quite the same amount of gains and dont look as fancy or expensive
but they do work well. ESPECIALLY-- for the price. fing02.gif
--pics would be great--
