OBD2 Inspection Problem

Re: Lil antenna Q
behind your gauge cluster is a reed type sensor once you remove it 120mph speedo limiter is gone.
now update on this.
I reinstalled the sensor reset the battery car is fine. 5 days later now driving home I put the car to the floor and instantly the CEL came on. Cars running sluggish for months and if I rev her up past 4000rpm you feel the car wanna pull hard but inbetween some hesitate spots.
Ive done normal maintance though. plugs, wires, fuel filter, pcv.

Re: Turbo Exhaust Question
You are still the only person I've EVER heard talk about removing the limiter. I'd like a pic or at least a part # shown to me on Hyundai Webtech to know what you are talking about. Or maybe I too can just start removing stuff from the cluster and have my ODB2 fail and throw unknown CELs and run like crap.

Re: Looking for Front lip (from kit) 4 RD2
doesn't have a lot to do with hyundais.. but last sunday I rented an E350 van... thing had a ton of power.. (ten foot burn outs with BOTH wheels) I was down in deleware on route 1 and I stayed with a mustang up until 90mph when the speed limiter shut down all the fun... Literally, the van was pulling HARD and it was like somebody had shut the engine off.
As for the tib having a speed limiter... I had mine on ice last year.. I put it in fifth and floored it.. went right to approximatly 120mph and stopped accelerating... so there may indeed be something there...
And I do agree with you REDZ.. I would like to see webtech parts numbers and maybe a pic.

there is the link. trust me it removes the limiter cause ive hit 129mph in my elantra after it was out. used to hit 120 and car would stop with the limiter in.

Re: Inappropriate avatars/sigs
Great writeup.
LOL
Not.
Eh, when someone can show me a part # or a real pic of the item, and then prove that they've gone faster.
Then show me.
Who really cares though? When do you need to go faster than that?

Re: For the ass lovers!!!
Yup sounds right, My car was going 200 KPH, (124.6MPH) and it stopped accelerating, picked up again when it dropped to 195... that was my 97, i havent had my 2000 up that fast yet, but i hope that it doesnt have the same system in it

Re: FS: Turby MPS kit by Min Garage
So even though this guy is throwing CEL's from removing 3 sensors, he's still ok with that? :?
Off topic: Hey Texas guys. You want to come to the New Tib TX meet? Go to the SW forum on newtib.

new yorks new inspections really bite as well. very strict now. you have to go thru a sniffer test and they link up to you ecu and scan your systems. the real crappy thing is, if your computers were just reset it'll fail you.

Who misses hockey
New Jersey is the same about the computer being reset.. supposedly. One of the guys who works for me has a Mitsu Mirage, he had a CEL for something, reset the computer, drove it to the inspection place, and they passed it no sweat
