Today I was installing the haloz and I had the doors open for about two hours and when I tried to turn my car on it was dead. So I jump started the car, went to the store and when I came back out to start my car it was dead again. I got someone to help jump start my car, then I went home, turned the car off then turned it back on to see if it will start and it was dead. I checked the battery acid and it was low, but I don't know how it's supposed to be filled. I've been searching the Topic for the past hour and for once the Search button didn't help me. From what I read I believe that I need a new battery. I have a 99 Tiburon with about 88k and an OEM battery. Also, I have two amps (Rockford 2400x2 and a kicker 350x4) a one farad cap and on the screen it reads low. My speedometer and tech didn't bounce as i read from other posts. I'm thinking maybe it's the battery because of the low acid and if it is the battery, I will swap it out for a yellow top (size D34). Tell me what you guys think the problem may be.

Thanks everyone

most likely bad battery, most places will test it for free.

pull it and drive another car there to test it or just drive there and get it tested and if you need to drive home like that you can jump it.

yup sounds liek the battery. it sounds like what just happened to me a couple days ago. Go to a Kragen or somthing and they can check and possibly charge your battery free of charge ( over here in cali they do that, not sure about ur area)

Turns out it was my battery. I called Pepboys, ask them if they have an Optima battery that will fit a Hyundai. The guy at pepboys said none of the Optima will fit. Can anyone with an Optima battery tell me what size will fit. thanks

yeah new battery

correct me if I'm wrong but red tops are designed for all around goodness while yellow tops are for large stereo's. Just thought I'd interject that.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>If your vehicle has a lot of accessories like running lights, high-performance stereo/AV system, winches, or hydraulics, your vehicle demands more from its battery. OPTIMA YellowTOP batteries provide the extra performance and deep cycling capability that your vehicle demands.</div>

also if you have put a winch on there apparently the yellow top is the way to go. smile.gif
