Gasolin in Ukraine is going up in price. Week ago 1L was $0.60 ($2.27 for 1 gallon) and now it's $0.70 for 1L (or $2.65 for 1 gallon). (price for 95 octan)
There is a roumor, that 1L will be $0.90 (up to $3.40 for gallon).
Natural gas is only $0.36 for 1L (or $1.36 for gallon).
Is it worth it to install special equipment and run on natural gas?
Any problems with it?

That's cheap gasoline you've got there. Here in Canada the highest octane you can buy at the pump is 94 and the current price for that is about $0.97 per litre.
There are lots of vehicles around here running on natural gas and I think it works well taking into consideration the things noted by Mad-Machine. You should find out the cost to convert your vehicle to run on natural gas to see if it is worthwhile.

probably 95 octan gas here is same as yours 92 or 93.
what about turbocharged engine on natural gas? I heard natural gas has good knock resistance, but I can be wrong.
BTW. convertion to natural gas is about $800 here.

yes.. his 95 octane is done via RON.. ours is a combination of RON and something else dvided by two. to get our lower numbers.
And if you have to know, your prices are pretty much inline with ours.. except that ours just dipped a bit. I got the 93 yesterday for 2.17 a gallon.

Not to try and make a test dummy out of you, but it would be cool if you did it. Then we would have a turbo tib running off of natural gas. It could turn out to be a great thing.

that would be great if he was running turbo.
The only problem I see with running CNG.. I would not want that tank of compressed gas in the car with me. Sometimes hatchbacks suck.

Gas in Philly is about 2.50 per gal for 93, 94 is like 2.65 per gal. I would just be glad I don't own a v6 or v8 and just keep paying redicusly high gas prices like me. My tib gets s**tty mpg like 22 mpg city or highway. Maybe a safc to make me run lean would help? Need an air ram first!
