Random, I live around sea level, so that is where my friend ran.. the tib in the video is at 4300 (got that from the notes in the video) Edit: Sorry I could have been more clear, I meant the tib in the video by saying that tib after talking about my friends rides.

You are wrong about R/t. You could sit for half an hour and still run a 13. Time doesn't start until you do.

Depends on the track you are @. Carlsbad raceway used time from green, not time from rollout.

LACR in Palmdale raceway used Time from Rollout, not time from green.

The track batlord went to in Flordia (way back when) used a combined system. They gave 2 times, one using the "from green" They called the "ET" and one using the "from rollout" they called "Timed run".

I guess because I have only run on NHRA tracks they always go off rollout. I have done instant green on them, but those started when you started moving, it just took the advantage away from those that know to go on the yellow. ha.

Statement withdrawn for those oddball tracks

Low 15's not impossible takes a skilled driver, and YEARS at a track learning how to launch, Launching FWD car on Street tires is extremely hard, It isnt just bringing the Revs to 6k and droping the clutch peddle, you want like maybe 3k, and to ease off the peddle no to spin the tires off the line alot. YOU could run low 15's with I/H/E, if you spend a few extra dollars on a set of wheels and tires, that you designate for the track! Not sure if you know but LAUNCHING it where you make you time, when you past 1/8th mile your just cruising!

I will take a picture of my set i run!

Tiburon-power, if you call BS on honest stories and bring huge attitude with it, you're on round 2. If you realize that most people come here to disseminate or accumulate knowledge and there is little room for genuine BS, you might make it.

I'll take the liberty of offering you a piece of advice that will probably improve your rep here as well as help you out big-time when you hit "the real world" where one outburst will get your sh*t canned: DON'T hit the POST button as soon as you finish typing, even if you have straight-up facts and nothing else in your post. Let it sit at least a couple of minutes, then pretend to be the other guy and read it back to yourself and see how it might be received. If you sound even a little bit like a derp or a jerk or w/e then wait a couple more minutes and rewrite it a little bit. Seriously you can save yourself if you slow down a little sometimes. . . . unless you really are a derp or a jerk, in which case standby for more

This Guy has a modded V6 and does 16,2 .. i mean.. How can I do 15,6 ?????

That guy had NO clue how to race. First off, when he spun his tires at the beginning, whatever was that for?????? He just barely squeaked them! Either that was the worst job in warming up tires (supposed to sit and spin for a couple seconds), or his tires didn't need to be warmed (street tires) and so why in the world was he chirping them in the first place??

Then on to the race itself - his launch was horrificbadworsthorrible. Reaction time was easily 1/2 a second, if not more. There's a TON of warning when the light is going to turn green - all those yellows coming down are a pretty good indication that you're going to get a green. Shoot, I've had better reaction times at stoplights than he did there! Then he sat there and burned away rather than having a nice smooth launch. You don't just dump the clutch and let the tires spin, that's just bad. What's worse, is he did it for over a full second. If I ever get tire spin, you can let off the gas fast enough to stop the wheel spin in less than half a second.

Please, please don't compare anything (even yourself) to that video - that was just horrible.
