To be honest, I never understood the difference between recirculate and the other option... So I'll test all of those out tomorrow when I get to my car, then get back to you.

I think I just solved your problem then.
Push the button so the air flows into the cabin, and doesn't recirculate.
This will solve your defrost problem.

Thanks alot, when it's on 'flow' it actually works. Still could probably use a thurough cleaning, as it slacks on the edges of the windshield, but still lets me see.
Now if only I can stop the frost from building on the inside of the windshield...

There shouldn't BE any frost inside, that's why the questions about recirculate and a/c operation. If the a/c doesn't pull the humidity out of the cabin air (not cooling) then the defroster won't pull humidity out of the cabin air either. And if there is wet outside air coming in you are fighting an uphill battle (recirculate = not pulling in outside air)
