Usually, they start out fine. After a few minutes, the turn lights get moody and start coming on and off when they want to. Then, they die. Nothing I do brings them back.

Needless to say, I need turn lights. Any ideas what the deal is? A fuse perhaps?

hazard switch or bad contacts more than likely. a fuse wont cause that.

did you check your all related bulbs & fuse. i know a fuse wouldn't cause them to flicker like that, but if your turn & hazards havent worked since then it's possible to have blown the fuses. i have a 2001 electronic manual, & "if" they're the same it looks like there are 2 fuses in this circuit. FUZE 9 (10AMP) & FUSE 4 (10AMP) both i "think" are inside the car.

does this site have the interactive chat still cause i don't see a link for it anymore. it would really help to have this right about now.

quit checking fuses, if they still work your fuse is fine.

The hazard switch controls both turn signals and hazards...

take off dash facia panel and look at wires behind harard switch. Inspect for crimped wires, any metal-metal connections...etc. etc.

If you cannot find a short, I have an extra hazard switch that you can have. But first confirm, that it IS the hazard switch that is defective (before I send it)...

use a multi-meter and webtech to narrow down the problem.
