In my quest to find an aftermarket muffler that actually LOOKS nice this is what I have come up with .. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-dual-ti...bayphotohosting
some of you may think it's ugly, but I personally like the dual-tipped-oval style.
My question is, will this off-brand muffler sound like crap? It's about 1/3 the price of a magnaflow, but I don't want to make my car sound like shit. I finally like the sound now with my new cat installed.
*just thought I'd mention my current setup is 4-2-1 headers and an MBRP exhaust.

Not sure of what wound it will produce, but I like it! fing02.gif Its very different, not your average fart can! wink1.gif You should go for it, if you don't like it, pull it off and resell it on ebay. You should be able to get most of your money back if not all.

For teh price your paying for the muffler give it a shot man. Much better then paying 100$ and finding out it sounds like crap. Get some sounds clips too..

i wouldn't get that zoned, get something that will fit in the rear of your car such as a maxima muffler. that looks classy. dual outlet dual chrome tipped muffler. don't get something that looks like it came from Jetsons!

I reckon the way those tips are designed would cause turbulence & hurt flow sad.gif

It's definitely different though fing02.gif

I simply said I liked the design, I didn't say I was married to it.
I like the way it looks, but am concerned about the quality of it being that it is an eBay off-brand, I don't want it to give me crappy sound.
I am going to email the guy and find out all the dimensions and stuff to make sure it fits (I'll also have the king rear in a couple months, which has more room) and if it does all fit well then maybe I'll buy it.

You may call it jetsons-ish, but I personally like the oval look, and dual tips always symbolizes more 'sportiness' IMO.

OP, is that sarcasm? or do you think it actually might fit?

Also, the MBRP never fit and is currently burning my bumper, so I guess it doesn't really matter it looks like crap either way (i don't care that much though because i am just waiting for the flyryde kit to be all done and my blue car to sell, it's painted and the person already put $300 down on it, so as soon as the paint has finished curing i'll have 3g's laugh.gif, then ill have a different bumper)

*bump
just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on the sound of this ebay muffler .. sure $50 is cheap compared to the $200 magnaflows, but i'd still rather not have a $50 paper weight. tongue.gif
someone here should have experience...(?)

The body of the muffler looks to be a decent size so I guess the sound should be OK fing02.gif

There are (IMO) nicer looking twin tipped mufflers going for cheap on ebay though...

Like this one or this one or even this one.
