Default Motoria exhaust help

i have the motoria catback exhaust http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWN%3AIT

it comes with a cat... now when i buy my header, will i have to buy another cat or will the header link up with the exhaust without it?

That thing it comes with is not a cat. It is a straight pipe, that they call a cat for some reason.

EDIT: Oops, your looking at that thing. Thats a racing cat, its not really a cat just a straight pipe. You will need a high-flow cat to pass emissions, etc. However if you buy a high flow and link it up to where the straight racing cat/test pipe will go, it will link up.

OBX comes with a racing cat as well I think... If your running an exhaust that replaces the second cat (one in the exhaust path) you will need a high-flow catalytic converter to replace it with. An aftermarket header replaces the cat on the manifold. You will then need to replace the racing cat (Read: Straight pipe) with a high-flow cat and extend the 2nd O2 sensor after that cat in order to not throw a CEL and pass emissions.

I'll try and explain this better. Right now your exhaust is like this:

(Stock Header with 1st Cat)--(Downpipe)--(2nd Cat)--Piping--(Muffler)

When you replace the exhaust it'll be like this.

(Stock Header with 1st Cat)--(Downpipe)--(New Piping)--(Muffler)

When you replace the Header it'll be like this:

(Aftermarket Header, no cat)--(Downpipe)--(New Piping)--(Muffler)

Now you can't pass emissions as you have no cats. So you buy a high-flow.

(Aftermarket Header, no cat)--(Downpipe)--(High-Flow)--(New Piping)--(Muffler)
