H-bomb, have you been reading this thread? tongue.gif

Because then #1 you have no vacuum on the PCV, so it will never open, so you basically are doing nothing..
#2 you are not filtering the "breather line" between the intake and block

Yeah, 2 catch cans would be the best.

option 1 would change the point of vacuum from the PCV valve to the breather. Basically, you'd be sucking air from the intake instead of the engine

I have no clue why you read that. It dosn't make much sence. the point of the catch can is to strain the liquid from the air. As long as it starts and ends at the same point, up and down won't effect anything except distance.. Down towards the catch can would make it work easier as the oil will be forced into the catch can instead of hanging around in the lines.

I said REMOVE the pcv valve....
and have the other line go to the can as well.

Sorry h-bomb, my mistake.

That would work, but then how do you filter the intake side of it?

Also, with an air filter on the can you spew oil all over the bay..

Okay well, i dont know if its different if you have a turbo setup or not, but i just removed my pcv valve, put in a fitting and have both those two lines going to the side of a can that i put a little air filter on top. Probably not the best set up, but it only cost me 6 bucks to make and it looks nice

h-bomb, doesn't that spit oil all over your engine bay? and what about the intake side?

It kind of seems like the guy got it mixed up. You need to be LOWER than the source..? Although, pressure still shouldn't be affected.

Mine is boosted so, hopefully it's okay... lol
I ran both the pcv and the intake line to the can. I havnt driven it a lot since i installed it so i dont know how effective it will be, so sorry I cant give you any "for-sure" answers, only some ideas.

So you T'ed them? With a filter going to atmosphere on your can you haven't gotten oil in your bay? Have you caught much yet?

Well, its basically like T'ing them I guess, they both go to the same can. I havnt checked to see how much oil is in it yet. No mess though.
