Misterious Sensor....

Hi.....
I just came from a junkyard looking for the wires of my O2 sensor.... long story (including an stupid mechanic.. mad.gif )
Ok... I was looking the debris of a RD 1998 Tiburon 1.8 MAP (i knew the owner), an I saw a really weird sensor attached to an screw of the base of the shock absorver. The sensor is OEM. the installation looks really normal including the wiring came from the firewall has an outlet conected to this sensor....
You can look the space on this picture..... my car doesn't have that sensor.... Why??? what is the function of that sensor???
Any Idea??? Do I need to install this???
Thanks...

Oh, I thought this picture was showing us that sensor.
LOL
Yup, you have that missing. Why? I don't know.
Maybe because of MAP? Maybe it's elsewhere on your car?

I have a MAP based car & I also have no sensor on that strut tower (i.e.: on the bottom of your pic). I do however have a sensor on the opposite strut-tower... Not 100% sure what it's for though.

The matter of fact is that the Tib that I saw, is MAP and has the sensor.... also a partner of a Hyundai Club here in Panama, also has that sensor.... both tibs are from the year 1998....
That sensor could be in any other place??? does the Tib works well without that sensor???

I just take a look to that possition too.... no sensor..... Also, in the main wire harness, there is the plug to conect that sensor....
I will try to check to the Hyundai Company in here to solve this weird "problem"
