I saw the low temp thermostat on shark racing and wanted it but know not to order there thanks to you all. Once again thanks everyone. I searched the net and sr was the only place I could find it. Does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks

How much is it?? If it's cheap I would suggest going for it. I hate to say it but It'd be nice to have a couple more places to get stuff from.

The rule of thumb with SR was that if it was in stock it was delivered with no problems but if not, well............

I got mine from SR but you can probably get it from kSpec. They are the Korean version of the thermostat. For some reason theirs were set lower.

btw.. just because you have a lower temp therm. doesnt mean youll be running cooler temps...

If anyone begs to differ, please explain.

I also suggest you guys do a search. This topic was explained quite a while back ago...

but basically.. you eint lowering your temps by doing this.

I am 99% sure you are full of it dude. I know for a fact that on a same degree day the fans and such were kicking on a lot faster than with the old thermostat.

You could have run the car harder that day, so the temps got up quicker and caused the fans to kick on earlier. I have never heard of a lower temp thermosat being used...

What most people that I know do is wire the fans with a manual switch so you can turn them on on your own.

I don't get it. A lower temperature setting means that the fans would turn on faster no? I'm confuzzled. 02.gif

I hadnt driven the car yet. It was sitting still in the morning and I just let it run till the fans came on. Beats me why the fans came on earlier. I am waiting to get a temp gauge then I will post up the temps.

the thermostat is only for tempeture of the block, not for a faster fans start.

the thermoswitch does that witht the fans, not the thermostat, that has to do with the block tempeture.

As it was discussed before it's not going to do jack!

Thermostat is open almost all the time either way, so this thermostat will be just a replacment for the stock one... save your money!!!
