I was stayin out of this, but I've got 2 sets of cheapo tires, and seem to have GREAT traction in all weather.

Kuhmo 712's up front, and Nitto 450's in the back.

Not one issue what so ever.

Oooh Redz can be the test dummy. Put the Nittos up front and the Kumhos in the back. Should be fairly even comparison, unless Redz has been having too much fun and the fronts are bald. lol.gif

Default Re: Two color Paint?

for what its worth....

i am running 205/50/15 summitomo HTR200's on 15x6.5 rims for the summer.

i recently changed the front tires to some 94 (i think) elantra rims that have 185/something/14 michelin tires that i pulled from the pick-n-pull junkyard for teh front of my car, as i have a tibbrake swap on teh front and needed the 114.3 bolt pattern.

the 205 summitomos in the rear have more grip in the snow than the 185 all season michelins that i believe were stock replacements- both sets still have deep tread left.

i am saying this because i have the 14" steelies in front and still saving money for 13" snows for teh rear and i still have my summer tires in back- and i still cant slide out the rear in snow.

There's no way the Kumho's will last in the winter, I never said that.
I use winter tires in the WINTER smile.gif

But yeah, the Parada's are nice, but they SHOULD be, they're like double what the 712's cost. And THEY ARE NOT all season's

Not a bad idea. I'll give it a shot in a few weeks.

Dweet, contrary to popular belief, it DOES snow here, a LOT. We have some of the best skiing in the country here. Work got called off a few weeks ago because of a blizzard. Not to mention, the mountains right here next to ABQ, we drive up them VERY often, the roads are great, and I'm DEFINATELY on the snow then.
