I've searched quite a bit and can't seem to find a picture (labled) of the various sensors like the TPS and FPR etc., etc.

Does anyone know of a link here? My manual kinds sucks for that stuff.

Thanks for any help guys.

Ive been meaning to do this FOREVER. I was going to take a couple pics of the engine bay and label EVERYTHING. Maybe this weekend I can do it. Anything you are looking for in particular?

There are dozens of pictures here with some of the sensors pictured, you just have to look for them. An all in 1 would be fine I suppose, but most of them are common sense if you think about what they do.

The FPR isn't a sensor.

Let me lead you through the thought process here man, it'll help you in the future.

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor. Has something to do with the throttle. I'd follow the throttle cables around and see where there is a related sensor. Hmm, there's a sensor on the throttle BODY, at the end of the throttle cable, I wonder what it does. Well, the cable turns the rotor when pulled, and that opens the butterfly, so maybe that thing "senses" the position of the throttle body?

MAF = Mass Airflow Sensor. has something to do with airflow. So it won't be on the tranny, or on the engine, where does the air flow on an engine? Ah, through the head! No, that would be too hot, where else... The intake? Hmm, are there any sensors in the intake? Yup, I found 2. Okay, which one is it? One is small and doesn't look too important, the other is huge and looks special. The tiny one just sticks in the intake like a small probe, the big one fills the entire intake tube.

See where I'm going here?

CPS = Camshaft Position sensor. Cams are in the head, sensor must be around there too...

It works, and will help you out for sure.

The FPR is your FUEL pressure regulator, it's on the passenger side of your car, on the end of the fuel rail.

What did I say that was harsh? It's just a way of thinking, if you try to think along those lines, you can find most any sensor on any engine.

Right?

I didn't like the way he wrote it at first either but when I told myself not to take it personally, I saw he was just trying to help. I do appreciate all the help I get here so if some of that help comes with a little sarcasm, so be it! In reality, he's absolutely right, it's not that difficult. The reason I asked was because my Chilton's manual sucks for pictures and it'd be a good learning tool.

I've been in toughguy internet fights before and they suck, they get you nowhere and everything get's blown out of proportion. Mostly because someone takes another persons comments the wrong way and gets all crybaby about it.

Plus, I'm a pretty big guy so I don't really take a little jab here and there to heart. It's all in good fun.

I honestly wasn't trying to be sarcastic guys, notice there's no name calling or cursing? LOL It's the same method of thinking I use to get my son to figure where things are, or how things work, worked in the Army too on the new kids that didn't know a open ended wrench from a ratchet.

Is there any specific one you can't find? I've got the actual service manual here, I can see if I can find a good image of them in there or 2, and scan them on here for everyone.l

No, I do that to my son as well.

I'd rather learn that way, it sinks in faster and longer.

I was just figuring on a birdseye view with verious sensors and other replaceable things like IAT and FPR. Not that I can't figure it out, it's just a good memory enhancer that's all.
