Ok i finally took off my door panel to see why my keyless entry wasn't working. I found the linkage between the solenoid and the lock bar (bar that goes from lock cylinder to interior lock) to be broke and missing. So my question is can i buy just the linkage between the two or do i have to buy a whole linkage kit. And how hard is it to replace? Thanks in advance.

im assuming it is an aftermarket(yet factory) solenoid. the gun-looking type, right?
you can buy another solenoid kit on ebay and it will come with that bar. you have to bend it up.
or you can improvise and go to a hardware store and find something to work.

Mine started off not unlocking the passenger door then wouldn't unlock either door. Then it wouldn't lock the doors. I'm guessing the bar just kept bending out of adjustment until it finally just broke off.

usually you just need to unlock your door, unlock your alarm and then tighten down the screw. there isn't many places inside that door for the bar to go to. search at the bottom. get someone with small hands. I thought i had a major problem until i opened it and found out it was a pretty simple problem.

I dug all around inside the door and couldn't find it. I even got a flexible magnet and worked it around in there and still didn't find anything. But like you said, i don't see where it could have gone. So i don't know.

wierd.. must be door gnomes or something. still got hardware for it? You might be able to make something out of welding rod or a coat hanger.

the piece that holds it to the lock bar is still there with a little piece of the bar still stuck in it. I'm not sure how to get it out. If i figure that out i could just bend a clothes hanger to fit there. Any ideas?
