In the winter time your car will pull...hard. For me i could feel a jump in power at 3500RMPsish. I mean it was like, bang, powerness.

There are guys running up to 17psi on stock internals, so i think driving hard here and there with just a CAI will be no problem at all.

I got the 3" piping with my CAI, and it really changes everything. It definitely pumps power midrange, and revs much quicker all the way till it shifts!

I would NEVER revert back to stock after the installation of my CAI. I remember from 3,000 RPM and up the car wouldn't pull nearly as hard, but now with all that extra torque in the low end, it pulls A LOT harder!

My gas mileage also SIGNIFICANTLY improved (well, it didn't for the first few gallons because I couldn't get my foot off the accelerator)

Plainly, it's a big kick in acceleration, and there's no better way to spend $150-300. Zoom by another car at full throttle, and they'll never want to mess with you, again. biggrin.gif

Driving when its cool out, especially at night, will have your car really pulling hard. If the air is dense and cold, you can expect to pick up quite a few more ponies.

Make sure your battery terminals are NO WHERE near the CAI. Mine grounded out on my and cost me a starter. banghead.gif

There are alot of wires touching the CAI. Do you mean the +ve and -ve terminals on the battery?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

If your worried about your engine, run a cmopression test. $15 tool from Autozone, and I'm sure they'll explain all the fine details (WOT during test, disconnecting injectors, etc.)

Compare the results to Webtech. If your engine is on the way out, the combustion chamber is where the brunt of the damage is going to be done.

There were a lot of wires going around the CAI, but I placed down a velcro strip inbetween where the wires and the CAI pipe would meet. There don't seem to be any problems, however I DID have to place a reinforcing strip down due to my CAI becoming a WAI on these hot summer days.tongue.gif

There's a red terminal on my battery somewhat pressing against my CAI...do you think I should maybe put something in between them both to prevent rubbing?

It's more like metal to plastic.

you should have nothing to worry about with your engine. the Beta has been perfected over the years
