I had the same thing when I installed my Motoria exhaust and it went away after a couple of days. I didn't smell it inside the car really though. More after getting out after a long drive.

It's ussually the sealer they had at for ever gasket. When it the sealer is heated by the exhaust, the sealers has a real funky smell to it. It will go away in a couple of days once you've broken your exhaust in.

DUde, i would put money on it being your cat. When we put a new one on my dads truck, it got super red and smelled real bad. After driving for about an hour the red color went away along with the smell.
