Just Got My Apexi Installed..

Sorry if this is been asked but my searches returned nothing 02.gif Except a funny topic about an intake that looked like a home made dryer hose..
But anyway, I just got my A'PEXi N1 installed and it sounds great, feels great, but for some reason theres a funny smell on the inside of the car when I drive. I would go back and ask the guys where I got it installed but they close..nm they're already closed.
I was wondering if you guys have an idea about what it could be?

When i had mine installed the mechanic said mine might do that also but it was from steel wool that is inside the muffler and would smell as it burned out. Dont know if this is what ur referring to but i never smelt a thing but thought it might help!

Well..It's kind of hard to tell. I mean I don't sniff exaust pipes if you know what I mean, but it seems to have kind of a...almost sulferish smell. Kind of like something is burning that shouldn't be
Like..maybe..if you have an old car and you redline it and it starts to smell, something like that. Although I never went above ~5,000 rpms..

There is some stuff that has to burn off when you get new exhaust. I know it cause I had a friend get some installed and it smellled awful for like a day or two, it went away eventually. NOthing to worry about I don't think.
