hey. I searched for intake manifolds and IM and whatnot but the only thing that really came up was either the airram or people selling thier stock ones. As far as IM go, what are our aftermarket choices? thanks

Default IM choices?

The KSpec AirRam is pretty much your only good bet. I think Shark Racing has one (or had one) but ehh, good luck with getting it after you order it. tongue.gif

The Kspec Airram is the best one out there.

There is also a IM by Tigerlilly, but it's really just a bigger stock IM I THINK.

I can find out more info if you want.

yeah I'm not a big fan of SR... and thanks for offering to help redz but its not a big deal, I was basically just investigating for the future (quite awhile from now unfortunately...). I just wanted to see what esle was out there, but with not many choices, I'll go with the one that has been proven. aka: airram. thanks again

you could bore your stock one. Bore and polish the inlet as well as runners and get a heat spacer and it would be very nice too!

you could buy a grinder and a polishing stuff off ebay and do it yourself if you know what you are doing. Also carbonman on EXD.com does it for people.

Runners are 4 ports that let air into the head.

kinda figured thats what runners were.... it was the only thing that made sense.

also, i know people around here with the equiptment to do it, i just dont know exactly how to go about doing it... like what parts to bore. just the inlet and runners? or pretty much all the way through? (if thats even possible). are there any good DIY around for it?

well, get a BBTB and match your IM opening to it. There is a limit when you should stop and you can definitely see when you have to stop.
with runers, just port them a bit to match the head inlet and then polish the hell out of them!

Default Re: Bomz Racing Cold Air Intake

I'm surprised no one has made an IM with short runners for high rpm use.
