SAFC won't do the full effect. You will need something to control timing as well. And when you do get the cam, you should do a full tuning, not just bullshit street tune with a rich/lean gauge....

264* can should be fine for turbo.

Let me explain my dilemma. The problem is that in the midwest, it is REALLY hard to find a good tuning shop. Nearly impossible actually.

So, that automatically limits my options.

That being said, I am planning on camshafts simply because I have nearly maxed out on Bolt on's. After the BBTB and Chris's NA EL Headers and SR Pulley set that I will receive at the end of the month, there isn't much more I can do to the car that isn't internal.

I've heard of that place (didn't' know they tuned though). They're mainly a Honduh shop from what I remember.

Let me ask you this. How much can I expect a dyno tune to cost after I put those 264 deg cams in?

So... Before I install the cams, I need to do an msd dis2 setup (which would work with the standalone anyway and give me the extra spark power that I will need with the turbo setup.). And then setup some dyno time. Just to be clear, if I do the cams and get the msd, I can tune it with the safc and dis2 correct? What would you say the gains would be?

I say those gains still won't be worth it man. You said you want to get turbo down the road... so just save up these $600-700 for your future project!

i say f*** it and get the pair . in and ex. you're gonna have to at least have an safc to tune it, but its worth it for at least 2 reasons:
a) theyre arent enough people with cams on this board.
b) i can tell you that even BEFORE the safc, the cams were by a long shot the biggest gains i got from any mod

I think I will get the cams before the turbo setup, because not only will they give me a decent gain (similar to that of the Airram and 65mm TB), but they will also work well with the turbo setup. I figure once I get my first few checks, I will buy the cams from HP. The heck with it, if nothing else, at least I can answer some of the questions everyone (including me) has about this mysterious Hwarang company and the quality of its parts. wink1.gif

Oh Wow! I was looking for someone who had these. Everyone says 264 deg. is the best for street.

What do you plan to do for ECU tuning?

Thanks

Aviv
