It's easy, just pull them out and no more gay defroster vent fresheners!
Oh, sorry, you're talking about the mirror bolt cover. Yeah, pull that off.

NO dont use a screwdriver you wil dent the plastic if your not careful
just pull on the top corner
it will seem like your breaking it, but it will POP out, and you will see the tabs that are used to secure it into the metal.
they are the same style plastic tab with metal clip on it that is used in every single interior body panel throughout the whole car.

Mine just pulls off, and then I believe there will be 3 bolts or screws (cant remember) Take those off, disconnect the wire that adjusts the mirror, and there you have it.

Sweet deal guys! I am just going to buy a quart of paint I sell at work. It's probably shitty paint, but it's my first project with a spray gun, I don't know how to use a gun, and it's a small unnoticeable part. So I think I'm good, lol

if you have to pry just use a paint scraper. the wider the better as it will displace the "footprint" and the blade thus you will not dent the plastic. plus the more surface you are trying to pry at the same time the less of a chance you take breaking the plastic piece because the force will be distrubuted throughout the whole piece, nont just one area.
ever seen a tool they use to take off door panels? same idea here only has a slot to go around the plastic grommet that holds the panel on.
