Yeah this mod is pointless if you can't open up that factory manifold flange to the size of the TB you are going to use. Have to remove it and take it to a machine shop or use a carbide burr and draw a circle to follow.

It' snot for me guys, it's for the other members out there, my 65mm TB and IM should be big enough for anything I ever need it for.
Thanks for the rest of the info.
Bolts right up eh? Just modify the cable holder for the throttle cable ferrule (what about cruise?), and bore your IM to match?
Nice.

Redz, It won't bolt right up to your TB flange on the manifold. If you look closely (I left the pics big) you can see that I made a new flange for the mustang TB, took off the TB studs on our manifold, welded on the new flange. Than I bored both the manifold and new flange while doing that, it cut into the manifold itself because there wasn't enough material there for a 70mm. So I had to weld the 2 holes closed again. After I drilled and tap the holes for the TB studs, than there you have it. All you have left to do than is fix the tb cable with a new bracket, plus fix the end of throttle cable.

Got ya, it looked like the OEM flange at a glance, so you did a great job.
LOL
