Alright, my car has roughly 140,000 miles on the engine. but the body is in good condition, the timing belt has been changed, and the tranny has not given me any problems. Im looking into adding more power to the engine, but i dont want the life to deteriorate. What can i do to rejuvinate the engine back to when i first got it, and add a few extra ponies along the way?

i have 10k more miles than you and im doin the same thing mang
best bet would be to either overhaul the motor you have now or just buy a lower mileage engine
hyundai says the designed "life" on this motor is 180k if i remember correctly if you start adding more hp to a motor that wasnt designed for it it will bring the life down

I just bought a motor from a local yard for $350 with 22k miles.
I would make that your first mod. It's not hard to swap and It'll make you feel better with the reliability.
