I noticed that highlight reflector in my right headlight has orange spots, lots of spots that looks like there is sand in headlight.

What to do? Can it be cleaned or I need to change the reflector?

I would try cleaning first, D. Just be sure not to use anything too abrasive.

Which side is it? (Sounds like a personal question)

duplicolor makes a high temp aluminum spray paint. can be found at auto parts stores.

sound like oxidation in the headlight, which is bad. spray is just a bandaid, and will probably hold in moisture causing it to spread quicker. sounds like its time to replace the headlight.

the reflector is plastic with electroplated "Chrome" on it. A little more sturdy than the cheap chrome surrounds on the lights. You can probably pulls the lenses off and clean it with regular dish soap and water.

I would bake the headlights, get them apart, then clean everything with soap and water as mentioned, make sure it's dry and then cook them again to seal them tight. But before you install them you might want to seal them with some clear silicone to make sure you don't get any moisture in.

tibby01, i'm pretty sure it's plastic for both gens.
