hey i was just changing my oil on the tib and when i started it to check the fluid level i noticed that both wheels were rotating. well i look under car and both axels are actually spinning.
does anyone know why the tranny isnt disengauging?? i bought a new clutch set bout 6-7 months ago so it should be ok under there. i have been really hard on my tranny this season and the synchros are just about gone. i was planning on going to find a new tranny for this winter but i might need it sooner.
anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on this??

Well it cant be the clutch if its in neutral, you either may have damaged a gear selector or its somehow unable to go into neutral.
Hows it drive? does it stall if you put it in neutral and let off the clutch while the car is on the ground?

The front end is jacked up (I'm assuming). And you start the car in neutral and the front wheels spin?
LOL, that is normal. No worries.

no if you let off clutch and put in neutral while on ground the car is fine.
and are you sure its supposed to be spinning at engine speed while on jacks?? if you put it in gear the wheels spin faster. that just dosent seem normal

yah if you meant that it doesnt stall when on the ground and it drives normal but jacked up the tires rotate softly then thats normal.
If its spinning as fast as when its in gear then thats a problem, but that would make driving a problem

arr, I am other pat. LOL..
it is NORMAL. I freaked out when I noticed it too for the first time, but I did some research and it is designed to do so. The weght of the car (when off stands) prevents the wheels from spinning freely in neutral, but when on stands, the drive wheels SHOULD spin with the engine.
